Ерих Фром (1900-1980) е известен не само като един от значимите хуманисти на 20 век, но и като психоаналитик и социален психолог. Той оставя следа в света, така както почти никой друг роден в Германия социален учен. Неговите книги са четени и харесвани по целия свят. Международното общество „Ерих Фром" се опитва да поддържа, изследва и доразвива научните открития и идеи на Ерих Фром и да ги разпространява като продължение на международната му работа и като признание за световната му значимост.

In memoriam Romano Biancoli

"Death and the Love for Life in Psychoanalysis" is the title of an Italian-English conference in memory of Romano Biancoli and his reception of Fromm's psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic technique. Romano Biancoli, who died on June 3rd, 2009, was an honorary member of the Fromm Society.

OPIFER and its psychoanalytic institutes and societies, as well as the International Erich Fromm Society, are inviting you to attend this conference, and are also addressing this invitation to members of the AAPDP (American Academy of Psychoanalysis and Dynamic Psychiatry) and other interested people.

With this first announcement we want you

1. to indicate your interest in attending this meeting. Please send an e-mail or a fax confirming your interest to participate in this conference to Rainer Funk of the International Erich Fromm Society (Ursrainer Ring 24, D-72076 Tuebingen / Germany, Fax: +49-7071-600049; E-Mail: frommfunk[at]aol.com) as soon as possible but by January 15, 2010, latest. You then will be regularly informed about all news in regard to the program and the accommodations.

2. to indicate, where required, your interest in presenting a paper, on condition that

  • the subject of a 10-minute or 25-minute English or Italian presentation refers directly to the topic of the conference and

  • the application is sent to us by January 15, 2010, latest

  • together with the title of your paper and a ten-lines abstract and that

  • the final manuscript is sent to us by May 1st, 2010 to prepare a translation into the other conference language.

The decision of whether or not your presentation will be included in the program you will be informed about by the end of January.
